Welcome to the fictional town of Harpring, Wisconsin
Tucked deep in the Northwoods and nestled along the quiet edges of Lake Casta, Harpring is the kind of town that looks like a postcard; timeless homes, winding roads, and forest shadows that stretch for miles. But beneath the surface of this seemingly peaceful town lies a tangled web of secrets, betrayals, and long-buried truths. Some are whispered behind closed doors.
Others are locked away for good reason.
THE HARPRING SAGA weaves together cozy mysteries with elements of domestic and psychological thrillers, spanning generations. Dive into a multi-generational tale filled with unexpected twists, buried family secrets, forbidden love, unreliable narrators, and intricately intertwined storylines.
Let’s meet some of the characters starting out the Harpring saga….

Gwen
Interior designer by trade, runaway by choice. Gwen came back to Harpring for a fresh start, but instead found herself face-to-face with a past she thought she’d buried. She’s married now. Settled, some might say. But Harpring has a way of un-settling things. Especially when secrets start whispering through the mansion halls she’s been hired to redecorate. Gwen’s learning the hard way: you can cover a wall in fresh paint, but you can’t hide the cracks underneath.

Kal
Quiet. Loyal. Haunted. Kal’s the kind of man who keeps his promises, even the ones that ruin him. A mechanic with a past no one talks about and a son he’s raising on his own, Kal doesn’t let many people in. But Gwen was different. And when she left without a word, he learned how to live with silence. Now she’s back, and Kal’s life, the one he carefully rebuilt, is starting to splinter. He knows things. Things he shouldn’t. But in Harpring, secrets aren’t just kept, they’re protected. Sometimes at a cost.Â

Max
Charming when he wants to be. Dangerous when he’s not. Max grew up knowing how to read people, and how to use what he finds. A business man with a flawless record and a fractured heart, he’s the man Gwen was supposed to choose. And now that she’s back in Harpring, working under the same roof as her husband’s secrets, Max isn’t about to sit quietly on the sidelines. He’s got history with Gwen. He’s got dirt on Kal. And he’s got a plan, though he’ll never admit it. In Harpring, Max Branson is the kind of man who plays by the rules. Until he decides to rewrite them.

Sherry
Gwen’s best friend, former coworker, and the reason Harpring even has a publishing scene. Sherry traded city chaos for small-town quirks and now runs the new local branch of their old publishing house, with caffeine, sass, and zero tolerance for mediocrity. She’s sharp, fiercely loyal, and always five steps ahead (especially when Gwen starts unraveling). If there’s one person who can sniff out a lie or a bad omen, it’s Sherry. And while she’s here to build a literary empire, she’s not above stirring a little drama if it means protecting her best friend.

Scott
Owner of Harpring’s best (and only) coffee shop, Scott takes his espresso, and his gossip, very seriously. Lifelong bestie to Kal, which means he’s probably heard every scandal before it hit the streets, and maybe added a few opinions of his own. Let’s just say, if the walls of that coffee shop could talk, they’d spill more than just lattes. What happens in the coffee shop definitely doesn’t stay in the coffee shop.
